Brad Little Wins Third Term as Idaho Governor

Brad Little won reelection Tuesday as Idaho governor, securing a third term in office. The Associated Press projected Little as the winner, with reported results at 10:18 p.m. showing him with 54.6% of the vote and Terri Pickens with 34.7%.

Little spoke at his election night party in downtown Boise. He received 67% of the vote in Kootenai County.

Idaho Governor Race Results

Nearly half of the early returns came from Ada County when the reported vote share was released. The Cook Political Report rated the Idaho governor’s race “solid R,” one of seven races nationwide it placed in that category.

Little had more than $1 million in campaign funds as of Oct. 30.

Idaho Statewide Office Winners

Incumbents swept Idaho’s statewide offices. The winners listed were Little, Scott Bedke, Phil McGrane, Brandon Woolf, Julie Ellsworth, Raul Labrador and Debbie Critchfield.

Critchfield won reelection as superintendent of public instruction. At her election night event, Critchfield said, “I want to represent the entire education community.”

Republicans have held every statewide office in Idaho for two decades, or 20 years. Little said at his election night party, “We’re not done yet.”
