Coeur d’Alene police are investigating the death of a 7-year-old boy at the Quality Inn on West Appleway Avenue. Officers responded at about 12:15 p.m. Monday after receiving a report of an unconscious child at the hotel, located at 280 W. Appleway Ave.
Police found the boy unresponsive and not breathing. Emergency medical personnel attempted lifesaving measures, but the child could not be revived.
Coeur d’Alene Police Continue Death Investigation
Authorities said the boy had no apparent traumatic injuries, and no significant medical conditions were immediately known. Detectives are working to establish the cause and manner of death.
The investigation remains open. Police said further information will be released when available.
