Coeur d’Alene Police are investigating after a 7-year-old boy was found unconscious and not breathing Monday at the Quality Inn in the 200 block of West Appleway Avenue.
Officers responded at about 12:15 p.m. Emergency medical personnel attempted life-saving measures, but the boy could not be revived and was pronounced dead.
Coeur d’Alene Death Investigation
Coeur d’Alene Police detectives were called to investigate the circumstances of the child’s death. Police said no obvious signs of trauma were immediately observed, and no significant medical conditions were known at the time.
Detectives are working to determine the cause and manner of death. The investigation remains ongoing, and the department said additional information will be released as it becomes available.
