Among the recalled products are baby loungers, 15-drawer dressers, and pool drain covers designed for young children. Additional recalled items span heated throw blankets, electric toaster ovens, and retro-style refrigerators—all flagged by federal safety authorities for defects that pose injury or fire risks.
Fire Hazards and Product Defects
Several recalled products face fire hazard classifications. Galanz retro refrigerators have been recalled due to faulty power cords and defective internal electrical components that increase fire risk. OCTROT heated throws and blankets carry similar fire hazard warnings, as do Panasonic electric toaster ovens flagged for internal electrical problems.
Labrador emphasized the urgency of consumer awareness. “Idahoans need to know when everyday products put their families at risk. This month’s 39 recalls include ten products made for infants and toddlers, from baby loungers to dressers to pool drain covers,” the attorney general told the Coeur d’Alene Press in his monthly safety announcement.
Entrapment and Stability Concerns for Children
Toddler kitchen step stools from multiple manufacturers—including Woodure, HARPPA, Mangohood, and SDADI brands—have been recalled for entrapment and fall hazards stemming from poor structural stability. These products pose collision and entrapment risks to young children who may use them unsupervised in the home.
Fireworks Recalled for Malfunction Risk
Two fireworks products were included in the July recall list. Winco roman candles and Jake’s Fireworks “Skull Strobe” items have been recalled for premature explosions and performance malfunctions, creating injury risks to consumers in Coeur d’Alene, Post Falls, and throughout Kootenai County.
The recall list reflects ongoing federal safety monitoring by the Consumer Product Safety Commission and other regulatory agencies. Idaho residents who own any of the recalled items are encouraged to stop using them immediately and follow manufacturer instructions for returns, refunds, or safe disposal.
