A groundbreaking ceremony was held this week for a new medical campus in Post Falls, built through a partnership between Kootenai Health and MultiCare Health System.
The project is expected to expand healthcare access in one of Kootenai County’s fastest-growing communities. Post Falls has seen steady population growth over the past several years, putting increased demand on existing medical facilities in the Coeur d’Alene area.
Kootenai Health, the region’s largest healthcare provider, has served the Coeur d’Alene area for decades. The MultiCare partnership extends the system’s footprint into Post Falls with a dedicated medical campus.
The new facility is part of a broader pattern of commercial and institutional investment in Post Falls, which has consistently ranked among the fastest-growing cities in the county. The Post Falls Chamber of Commerce has reported strong small business growth in early 2026.
