Kootenai Health and MultiCare Health System announced a partnership to develop the Prairie Medical Campus, a 30-acre healthcare facility in Post Falls. The project represented one of the largest healthcare investments in North Idaho’s history.
The campus was designed to address the growing healthcare needs of Kootenai County’s expanding population, which was approaching 200,000 residents. Officials said the facility would create significant numbers of healthcare jobs and reduce the need for residents to travel to Spokane for specialized care.
