One person died after a Post Falls Police Department officer-involved shooting on November 1, 2026, in the 1900 block of Foxglove Lane.
Post Falls Officer-Involved Shooting
Officers responded at approximately 6:30 a.m. to a call involving a suicidal individual who was threatening to harm family members. An officer-involved shooting occurred shortly after officers arrived.
Officers provided medical aid, including CPR, before Kootenai County Fire and Rescue transported the individual to Kootenai Health. The individual later died from their injuries.
Kootenai County Investigation
The Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office is leading the investigation. The investigation remains ongoing, and no additional information has been released.
