The Coeur d’Alene Police Department has classified two deaths at a North Idaho residence as an apparent murder-suicide, identifying the victims as Allyson Duran and Joshua Sneed. Officers responded to the 700 block of E. Vintage Court around 2 p.m. Sunday after a concerned family member forced entry into the home.
Incident Details
Upon entering the residence, the family member discovered Duran deceased. Medical personnel subsequently found Sneed also dead inside the home. Police confirmed that Duran and Sneed had been dating for approximately one year and lived together at the address.
Investigation Status
Investigators are working to determine the full circumstances surrounding the deaths. According to a department news release, “Based on evidence collected during the investigation, detectives believe Sneed was killed inside the residence before Duran died by suicide.”
Authorities have stated there is no known threat to the public regarding this incident. The Coeur d’Alene Police Department continues its review of the scene and evidence.
