Lakeside Companies has acquired The Highlands Golf Course in Post Falls, marking another investment by the development firm in the North Idaho community. The course will continue operating under current management, with the existing on-site team remaining in place during the transition.

Built in 1990, The Highlands features an 18-hole layout, a large pitching green, an expansive putting green, and a grass tee driving range that stretches nearly 400 yards. The course has built a reputation for its scenic design and welcoming atmosphere for golfers of all skill levels.

Ownership Transition

David Weeks, CEO of Lakeside Companies, said the firm recognizes the loyalty the course has cultivated. “The Highlands is a course that people genuinely love and that loyalty speaks for itself. We are excited to be the next owners, and our focus right now is on a smooth, stable transition,” Weeks stated.

Lakeside plans to engage with members, guests, staff, and the broader Post Falls community in the coming months as it settles into ownership. Daily operations will proceed without interruption under the new ownership structure.

What Comes Next

The acquisition adds to Lakeside Companies’ portfolio of local real estate and development projects. Golfers and members can expect continued service and facility access as the company works to maintain the course’s established character while evaluating potential enhancements.

The Highlands joins other recent community development activities across Kootenai County, including infrastructure and recreational improvements that continue to shape the region’s growth trajectory.
