The Post Falls Trojans volleyball team secured a decisive victory over the Lakeland Hawks on Tuesday night at The Arena at Post Falls, sweeping the match in three sets while honoring six graduating seniors. The win improved the Trojans’ record to 13-3, while the Hawks fell to 11-7.
Post Falls Dominates Senior Night
The Trojans controlled the pace from the start, taking the first set 25-8 and the second 25-21 before closing out the contest 25-10. The victory capped a strong performance by Post Falls’ offensive and defensive units, led by standout contributions from multiple players.
Lucy Carr orchestrated the offense with 20 assists, while Peyton Barclift provided a versatile presence on the court with 11 kills, 12 digs, and three aces. Teresa Smith added power at the net with 11 kills and three blocks, complemented by Malia Uemoto’s six kills.
On the defensive side, Rylie Gump recorded eight blocks, helping to shut down Lakeland’s attack. Jade Laos contributed seven digs and four aces, while Lucy Smith added 11 assists to keep the ball in play for her teammates.
Lakeland Efforts Fall Short
The Hawks struggled to find consistent rhythm against Post Falls’ defense. Jolie Warren led Lakeland with eight kills and two aces, while Marissa Benson recorded three blocks at the net. Kindell Day distributed 16 assists for the visitors, and Emma Beaty anchored the backcourt with 10 digs.
Despite individual efforts from Lakeland’s roster, the Trojans’ depth and execution proved too much to overcome in all three sets.
Other North Idaho Volleyball Results
In Central Idaho League play, the Kellogg Wildcats defeated the Priest River Spartans 25-20, 25-21, 25-13 at Priest River High. Gretah Angle led Kellogg with 15 kills and three aces. Jordyn Stutzke recorded 12 digs, while Paige Yrjana contributed 11 digs and four blocks. Ella Yrjana added 22 assists and 10 digs, and Valynn Visintainer posted four blocks.
The Wallace Lumberjacks rallied past the Coeur d’Alene Miners in a nonleague match at Kirby Krulitz Court, winning 19-25, 29-27, 25-17, 25-19. The four-set contest saw Wallace overcome an early deficit to secure the victory.
In other regional action, the Medical Lake Cardinals swept the visiting Timberlake Tigers 25-23, 25-23, 25-23. Addie Archer led Timberlake with five kills and 14 digs. Shae Jones recorded five kills, four aces, and two blocks, while Rhylee Yetter added five kills, two aces, and four digs. Willow Mattson contributed eight assists and 11 digs, and Jordyn Parke posted nine assists.
The Clark Fork Saints fell to the Coeur du Christ Wampus Cats in North Star League play, losing 25-16, 25-20, 26-24. Meanwhile, the Kootenai Classical Academy Kodiaks swept the Lakeside Knights 25-16, 25-15, 25-22. Chaimolia Sullivan led KCA with six kills and four aces. Avery Myers recorded 16 assists and seven aces, Maddie Morris added five kills and six digs, Angel Touraille posted four kills, and Abbey Schurter contributed five digs.
